First Visit

Welcome to a holistic approach to animal care (mind, body, and spirit).

At your first appointment, the doctor will ask about your companion animal's medical and behavioral history and current diet, exercise, and state of health. Your questions and current health concerns are addressed. A physical examination is performed from both a Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine perspective. A treatment plan is developed which may include recommendations on diet change, exercise, and nutritional or herbal supplementation, in addition to acupuncture or other treatment modalities specific for your animal companion. The initial consultation is typically one hour and is $165.00 per hour. If time allows (depending on the number of aliments to be addressed and questions you have) an acupuncture treatment may be given during the initial consultation for an additional fee of $85.00.

If you have further questions, please contact us by phone, and our friendly support staff will be happy to assist you. Please plan for 1 1/2 hours in your schedule for the first visit as the extra time is needed to set up the chart and enter your information in our computer system, plus the doctor will need to review past medical records if available. Extra time may be needed after the appointment to make and dispense supplements/herbs/etc.
